Sensor on its own is about same cost as quoted above (~£20 or so) housing with thermostat and sensor complete isn't much more.

01-06-2015, 10:52 AM. All I know is that EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation. I think the idea is, that a small amount of exhaust gas is allowed to pass occasionally back into the air inlet manifold via the EGR valve, to 1. reburn the gas to reduce overall pollution, and 2. to pre-heat the inlet air to improve combustion.
Gearbox not engaging reverse properly. This is a really common problem on the 5 and 6 speed manual gearboxes, which were fitted to numerous other Citroen, Peugeot and DS models – from everything to the DS3’s sister car, the Peugeot 208, right up to the Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner mid-size vans.
Trouble is, a 4 year old Berlingo is almost certain to be a 1.6 HDi, in which case it's probably carnage - and getting the head off might be impossible as the injectors probably won't come out. In that case, replacement engine is probably the way to go
An example item description on the bay suggests yours is the same as mine "THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR FITS CITROEN BERLINGO DISPATCH RELAY JUMPER 1.6 2.0 2.2" and these can be had for upwards of £20 and is a straightforward bolt on swap in the engine bay and can be seen at the end of the cable. I am still to follow the vacuum line back to the Vacuum actuator at the back of the engine and also check out the vacuum actuator itself (I read another post suggesting to check the pipe from the vacuum actuator leading to the top of the engine, which can often get blocked) 3) MAF - I'll try unplugging as you suggest.
